Marcin Zdunik - cello
The voice and cello duo of Żaneta Sławińska-Zdunik and Marcin Zdunik constitute a completely original proposal on the Polish music scene. Artists focus on the genre of classical song. In their own original arrangements they use the language of the improvising cello and the stage voice with elements of theatre interpretation. Their performances emphasize the emotional content of the songs, allow listeners to admire the unique beauty of the intimacy of the song, but also its self-sufficiency. The duo's repertoire includes works by the greatest Polish composers - including Mieczysław Karłowicz, Fryderyk Chopin, Karol Szymanowski and Witold Lutosławski. The musicians also reach for children's songs (including those by Zygmunt Noskowski), as well as selected pieces of Polish popular music (e.g. by Witold Lutosławski "Derwid").
